A trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over the southeastern part of Hong Kong Island in the past few hours.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms. Moderate southwesterly winds, becoming easterlies.

Outlook : A few showers and isolated thunderstorms in the next couple of days.
