At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 76 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 2. The intensity of UV radiation was low.
The area of low pressure over the northeastern part of the South China Sea has intensified into a tropical depression. It is expected to move northeastwards towards Taiwan and away from Hong Kong. It will not pose direct threat to Hong Kong. Despite this, the trough of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea will remain rather active in the next couple of days. The Observatory will continue to closely monitor the situation.
