At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 65 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 9. The intensity of UV radiation was very high.

The area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea will slowly edge closer to the coast of Guangdong today and tomorrow. Showers associated with the area of low pressure will affect the coast of Guangdong gradually. Members of the public should be aware of the latest weather conditions when arranging activities.

A fresh to strong easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, an area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Becoming cloudy. There will be a few showers later. Moderate to fresh east to northeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore.

Outlook : A few showers on Yuen Ng Festival. Hot with sunny periods in the middle and latter parts of this week.
