At 6 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 76 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.7. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

The area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is expected to move northeastwards towards the vicinity of eastern Guangdong and Taiwan Strait today and tomorrow. Its associated showers will affect the region. Members of the public should be aware of the latest weather conditions.

A fresh to strong easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, the area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Sunny intervals tomorrow. Temperatures will range between 26 and 31 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, occasionally strong offshore at first. Becoming southwesterlies tomorrow.

Outlook : Hot with sunny periods in the following few days.
