At 10 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 80 per cent.

The area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea continued to move northeastwards. It is expected to move towards the vicinity of eastern Guangdong and Taiwan Strait on Monday, gradually away from Hong Kong. Its associated showers will affect the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong. Members of the public should be aware of the latest weather conditions.

A fresh to strong easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, the area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Sunny intervals tomorrow. Temperatures will range between 26 and 31 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, occasionally strong offshore at first. Becoming southwesterlies tomorrow.

Outlook : Hot with sunny periods in the following few days.

An easterly airstream is affecting the south China coastal waters. Meanwhile, the area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.
