At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 31 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 78 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 5. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

Please be reminded that:

The Thunderstorm Warning was issued at 12:25 p.m. It will remain effective until 1:30 p.m. today. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over New Territories North.
The Very Hot Weather Warning is now in force. Very hot weather might cause adverse health effects. Members of the public should take care to avoid heatstroke.

The southwest monsoon is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over Tseung Kwan O this morning.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Isolated thunderstorms at first. Moderate southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Sunny intervals and also a few showers in the next couple of days.
