The southwest monsoon is bringing heavy showers and thunderstorms to the coastal areas of Guangdong. Locally, thundery showers brought about 30 millimetres of rainfall to many places around noon.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Moderate south to southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Still a few showers tomorrow. Showers will ease off and it will become fine in the following couple of days.
