Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The southwest monsoon is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong.

At 4 p.m., Typhoon Prapiroon was centred about 270 kilometres north of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north at about 25 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Showers will increase and there will be a few squally thunderstorms tomorrow. Temperatures will range between 27 and 31 degrees. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Still a few showers on Wednesday. Sunny periods in the latter part of this week.

    The southwest monsoon is bringing unsettled weather to the south China coastal waters.

    At 4 p.m., Typhoon Prapiroon with maximum sustained winds of about 120 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 28.6 degrees north, 127.5 degrees east. It is forecast to move north at about 25 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea.
