Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The southwest monsoon is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong.

At 8 a.m., Typhoon Prapiroon was centred about 200 kilometres west-southwest of Nagasaki. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 25 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. The maximum temperature will be about 31 degrees. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Still a few showers tomorrow. Sunny periods in the latter part of this week.
