During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 1. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The southwest monsoon is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded in many places this morning.

At 10 a.m., Typhoon Prapiroon was centred about 160 kilometres west-southwest of Nagasaki. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 25 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Still a few showers tomorrow. Sunny periods in the latter part of this week.
