Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The southwest monsoon brought showers to the coast of Guangdong today. Locally, it was mainly cloudy. There were showers at first. Showers were heavy with squally thunderstorms in isolated areas over the New Territories. More than 50 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi, and rainfall even exceeded 200 millimetres over Tai Po District. The southwest monsoon is expected to moderate gradually in the next couple of days. Showers will ease off over the coast of Guangdong.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Friday, 6 Jul 2018)

Mainly cloudy. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms in the morning. Hot with sunny periods during the day. Temperatures will range between 28 and 32 degrees. Moderate south to southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Hot with sunny periods and isolated showers in the following couple of days.
