Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong.

At 8 p.m., Super Typhoon Maria was centred about 1610 kilometres east-southeast of Taibei. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 25 kilometres per hour in the general direction of north of Taiwan.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Isolated thunderstorms at first. Sunny intervals tomorrow. Temperatures will range between 27 and 31 degrees. Moderate east to southeasterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore.

Outlook : Sunny periods and a few showers in the following couple of days. It will be very hot midweek this week.
