During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.4. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A broad trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 5 millimetres of rainfall were generally recorded this morning, and rainfall even exceeded 10 millimetres over the urban areas, Lantau Island and the northern part of the New Territories.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 30 degrees. Moderate east to southeasterly winds, fresh offshore.

Outlook : Showers and squally thunderstorms during the weekend. Showers will ease off gradually early next week.
