Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A broad trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over parts of the New Territories this morning.

Weather forecast for today

Cloudy with showers. Showers will be heavy at times with a few squally thunderstorms. The maximum temperature will be around 28 degrees. Moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore.

Outlook : Still showery with squally thunderstorms tomorrow. Weather improving gradually in the following couple of days.
