At 3 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 89 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 3. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

Gusts reaching 90 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Hong Kong.

Strong winds are expected from the east. The public should beware of the possible danger brought by rough seas.

A broad trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Meanwhile, a strong easterly airstream is affecting the south China coast.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with showers and isolated squally thunderstorms. Fresh east to southeasterly winds, strong offshore and on high ground.

Outlook : Still showery with squally thunderstorms tomorrow. Weather improving gradually in the following couple of days.
