At 6 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 84 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.4. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Hong Kong.

Strong winds are expected from the east. The public should beware of the possible danger brought by rough seas.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 7:00 p.m. today. A few squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A strong easterly airstream is affecting the south China coast. Meanwhile, a broad trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over most parts of the territory in the afternoon.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees. Fresh east to southeasterly winds, strong offshore and on high ground.

Outlook : Weather improving gradually in the following couple of days.
