At 3 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 25 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 95 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.8. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Though rainstorm warning has been cancelled, people should stay alert to the danger that may be brought about by river flooding.

Strong winds are expected from the east. People engaging in outdoor work or activities should be particularly aware of strong gusts. The public should beware of the possible danger brought by rough seas.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An intense easterly airstream is affecting the south China coast. Meanwhile, a broad trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, showers in the afternoon generally brought more than 30 millimetres of rainfall over the territory.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with squally showers. Showers will be heavy at times with a few thunderstorms. Fresh east to southeasterly winds, strong offshore, occasionally gale on high ground.

Outlook : Still showery at first tomorrow. Sunny periods in the following couple of days.
