Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A strong easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the region. Besides, the area of low pressure over the seas east of the Philippines is intensifying. A tropical cyclone appears to be forming.

Weather forecast for today

Cloudy with showers. A few squally thunderstorms at first. Showers will ease off during the day and there will be sunny intervals. Temperatures will range between 25 and 30 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, strong offshore and on high ground at first.

Outlook : Sunny periods in the following couple of days.

Weather Situation:
An intense easterly airstream and a broad trough of low pressure are affecting the south China coastal waters. Besides, the area of low pressure over the seas east of the Philippines is intensifying, a tropical cyclone appears to be forming.
