At 160600 UTC, it was centred within 90 nautical miles of one eight point eight degrees north (18.8 N) one two three point five degrees east (123.5 E) and is forecast to move west at about 20 knots for the next 24 hours.

Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 25 knots.

Radius of over 2 metre waves 180 nautical miles.

Forecast position and intensity at 170600 UTC
One nine point eight degrees north (19.8 N)
One one five point two degrees east (115.2 E)
Maximum winds 30 knots.

Forecast position and intensity at 180600 UTC
Two zero point zero degrees north (20.0 N)
One zero seven point six degrees east (107.6 E)
Maximum winds 35 knots.

Forecast position and intensity at 190600 UTC
Dissipated over land.

The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
