Tropical Cyclone Warning

At 210600 UTC, the Tropical Depression in the vicinity of Luzon with central pressure 998 hectopascals was centred within 60 nautical miles of one eight point five degrees north (18.5 N) one one nine point seven degrees east (119.7 E) and is forecast to move east-northeast at about 12 knots for the next 24 hours.

Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 25 knots.

Radius of over 2 metre waves 120 nautical miles over southern semicircle, 60 nautical miles elsewhere.

Forecast position and intensity at 220600 UTC
Two one point eight degrees north (21.8 N)
One two four point zero degrees east (124.0 E)
Maximum winds 30 knots.

Forecast position and intensity at 230600 UTC
Dissipated over sea.

The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
