At 3 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 31 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 61 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 3. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 4:00 p.m. today. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over New Territories North.
The Very Hot Weather Warning is now in force. Very hot weather might cause adverse health effects. Members of the public should take care to avoid heatstroke.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The weather is very hot over the coast of southeastern China. Convective activities triggered by high temperatures are bringing thundery showers to Guangdong. Besides, a broad area of low pressure is bringing unsettled weather to the central and southern parts of the South China Sea.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Very hot with sunny periods, a few showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Mainly cloudy tonight. Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.

Outlook : Very hot with sunny periods and isolated showers in the next couple of days. More showers in the latter part of this week.
