The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 5:00 a.m. today. Thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.
The Very Hot Weather Warning is now in force. Very hot weather might cause adverse health effects. Members of the public should take care to avoid heatstroke.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Showers are affecting the coastal areas of Guangdong. Meanwhile, a broad area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

At 2 a.m., the tropical depression east of the Philippines over the western North Pacific was centred about 940 kilometres south-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north slowly, lingering over the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Isolated thunderstorms at first. Very hot with sunny periods during the day. Temperatures will range between 27 and 33 degrees. Moderate easterly winds, occasionally fresh later.

Outlook : More showers in the following few days.
