Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing mainly fine weather to southeastern China. Meanwhile, a broad area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

Beside, the tropical depression east of the Philippines over the western North Pacific was named Yagi. At noon, Yagi was centred about 930 kilometres southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north at about 12 kilometres across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Very hot with sunny periods in the afternoon. There will be isolated showers. Mainly cloudy tonight. Moderate easterly winds, occasionally fresh later.

Outlook : Sunny intervals tomorrow. The weather will become unsettled with showers and thunderstorms on Friday and over the weekend.
