Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing mainly fine and very hot weather to southeastern China. Locally, temperatures over most parts of the territory rose to 33 degrees or above in the afternoon. Meanwhile, a broad area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

Besides, Tropical Depression Yagi has intensified into a tropical storm. At 4 p.m., Yagi was centred about 950 kilometres southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north at about 12 kilometres across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy. The minimum temperature will be about 27 degrees. Very hot with sunny periods tomorrow. The maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees. There will be isolated showers. More showers later. Moderate to fresh easterly winds.

Outlook : The weather will be unsettled with showers and squally thunderstorms on Friday and over the weekend.
