Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing mainly fine weather to southeastern China. Meanwhile, a broad area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

At 2 a.m., Tropical Storm Yagi was centred about 910 kilometres southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north at about 12 kilometres across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with isolated showers. The minimum temperature will be about 27 degrees. Very hot with sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees. There will be more showers later. Moderate to fresh easterly winds.

Outlook : The weather will be unsettled with showers and squally thunderstorms on Friday and over the weekend.
