Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Tropical Storm Bebinca lingered around the seas south of the Pearl River Estuary yesterday, and brought heavy squally showers and thunderstorms to the region. Locally, there were sunny intervals, occasional squally showers and thunderstorms. More than 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places. Bebinca is expected to edge closer to the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong today, and will continue to bring heavy squally showers and thunderstorms to the region.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong

Fresh to strong east to southeasterly winds. Mainly cloudy with occasional squally showers and a few thunderstorms. Temperatures will range between 26 and 30 degrees. Seas will be rough with swells. Winds will moderate gradually later.

Outlook : There will still be showers in the following couple of days.

Warnings:
Storm force winds in Shangchuan Dao. Gale force winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters and south of Hong Kong. Strong winds in Nan'ao and Shanwei.

Weather Situation:
At 11 p.m., Tropical Storm Bebinca with maximum sustained winds of about 85 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 21.0 degrees north, 113.2 degrees east. It is forecast to move northwest slowly, gradually edging closer to the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Bulletin

Here is the latest Tropical Cyclone Warning Bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 is in force.

This means that winds with mean speeds of 41 to 62 kilometres per hour are expected.

At 1 a.m., Tropical Storm Bebinca was estimated to be about 180 kilometres southwest of Hong Kong (near 21.1 degrees north 113.0 degrees east) and is forecast to move northwest at about 8 kilometres per hour gradually edging closer to the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong.

Tropical Cyclone Warning

At 141500 UTC, Tropical Storm Bebinca (1816) with central pressure 984 hectopascals was centred within 90 nautical miles of two one point zero degrees north (21.0 N) one one three point two degrees east (113.2 E) and is forecast to move northwest at about 5 knots for the next 24 hours.

Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 45 knots.

Radius of over 33 knot winds 60 nautical miles over southern semicircle, 30 nautical miles elsewhere.
Radius of over 2 metre waves 120 nautical miles over southern semicircle, 90 nautical miles elsewhere.

Maximum winds 50 knots.

The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
