Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.

At 10 a.m., Super Typhoon Kong-rey was centred about 680 kilometres south-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for today

Fine and dry. Moderate east to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Fine and very dry in the next couple of days. The temperature difference will be rather large between day and night.

    Strong winds in Nan'ao, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 9 a.m., Super Typhoon Kong-rey with maximum sustained winds of about 210 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 20.3 degrees north, 129.7 degrees east. It is forecast to move northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific.

    Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

    Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
    East to northeast force 5, becoming north force 5 later.
    Moderate seas.

    Nan'ao and Shanwei:
    Northeast force 6 to 7.
    Rough seas.

    South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:

    Moderate to rough seas.
