Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is bringing fine weather to Guangdong.

At 8 p.m., Typhoon Kong-rey was centred about 130 kilometres southwest of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 25 kilometres per hour across the Ryukyu Islands and the East China Sea.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Fine and very dry. The minimum temperature tomorrow will be about 23 degrees in the urban areas, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. The maximum temperature will be around 30 degrees. Moderate northerly winds, occasionally fresh tomorrow.

Outlook : Fine and very dry on Saturday. The temperature difference will be rather large between day and night. Cloudier in the following couple of days.

Warnings:
Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 8 p.m., Typhoon Kong-rey with maximum sustained winds of about 130 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 25.4 degrees north, 126.7 degrees east. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 25 kilometres per hour across the Ryukyu Islands and the East China Sea.

Moderate to rough seas.

Nan'ao:
North force 6 to 7, occasionally force 8.
