Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A dry northeast monsoon is bringing fine weather to Guangdong.

At 5 a.m., Typhoon Kong-rey was centred about 680 kilometres south of Jeju. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 25 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea towards the vicinity of the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.

Weather forecast for today

Fine and very dry. The maximum temperature will be around 30 degrees. Moderate northerly winds, occasionally fresh.

Outlook : Fine and very dry tomorrow. The temperature difference will be rather large between day and night. Cloudier in the following couple of days.

Warnings:
Gale force winds in Nan'ao. Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 5 a.m., Typhoon Kong-rey with maximum sustained winds of about 120 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 27.4 degrees north, 126.0 degrees east. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 25 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea towards the vicinity of the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.
