Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing fine and dry weather to Guangdong.

At 10 a.m., Typhoon Kong-rey was centred about 600 kilometres south of Jeju. It is forecast to move north at about 30 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea towards the vicinity of the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.

Weather forecast for today

Sunny and very dry. Moderate northerly winds, occasionally fresh.

Outlook : Fine and very dry tomorrow. The temperature difference will be rather large between day and night. Cloudier in the following couple of days.

    Weather Situation:
    The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

    At 9 a.m., Typhoon Kong-rey with maximum sustained winds of about 120 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 28.1 degrees north, 125.6 degrees east. It is forecast to move north at about 30 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea towards the vicinity of the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.

    Moderate to rough seas.

    Nan'ao:
    North force 6 to 7.
